First performance of  "Three Sonnets" by Mattijs van de Woerd (baritone), Shuann Chai (piano) and Huib Ramaer (reciter). The concert is part of a symposium about Maarten Maartens (pseudonym of Jozua van der Poorten Schwartz (Amsterdam, August 15th, 1858 – Doorn, August 3rd, 1915) at the occasion of his centennial year. My piece was commissioned for this occasion by the Maarten Maartens Foundation.

Duo Leeghwater (Marieke Franssen - flute and Marieke Wenink - viola) give the first performance of this piece in the historical setting of the 19th century Leeghwater steam-driven pumping station. Two consecutive concerts are played at 12:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

First performance of the chamber version of Het Ware Geweld on Remembrance Day 2014 in cooperation with the Theater na de Dam Foundation and the Leo Smit Foundation. 

Solo singers: Gerben Houba (tenor) and Michel Poels (baritone). Actress and stage direction: Marijke Beversluis. Instrumental ensemble:  Jacobien Rozemond (violin), Doris Hochscheid (cello), Frans van Ruth (piano) and Niels Meliefste (percussion). Dramaturgy and scenography: Olaf Mulder. 

Repeat performances on May 11, 12 and 14, 2014; all in the Uilenburger Synagogue.
